Aphi Projects stands for Australian Passive House Inspired Projects, reflecting our commitment to sustainable design and building practices. We’re a team of integrated Passivhaus design and build specialists working throughout Western Victoria, including Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast and Ballarat. We collaborate with like-minded people to create beautiful, healthy, energy-efficient homes that inspire the imagination.

Built for local conditions
The majority of the Australian built environment is thermally uncomfortable, inefficient, and lacking in healthy indoor air quality. At Aphi Projects, we use proven building science and high-performance materials to create homes that meet the highest comfort, energy efficiency and design standards.
A Passivhaus is always climate-specific, so a home on the Surf Coast will be very different from one in Ballarat or Northern Europe. Over the past twenty years, Directors Scott McClelland and Dale Roberts have worked to ensure that each project is carefully tailored to the local environment, delivering optimum thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
We believe this is the art of science.
Principles
We believe that thoughtful planning and attention to detail set great buildings apart. The Passivhaus standard demands this approach, and so do we. Our team combines deep experience with curiosity and creativity. Anchored by knowledge and expertise, we are always asking questions and evolving.
Better performance
Whether certifying or not, we build to the world's best standards for thermal performance and comfort.
Higher standards
We bring together quality materials and craftsmanship to deliver the best possible project.
Collaborative design
A considered, collaborative design process yields the best design outcomes—a building that is durable, does its job and is just right.
Efficient approach
Our integrated process gives your project the best chance to stay on budget, on time and exceed your expectations.
